Terms of Service

Effective date: 12 June 2026

1. Introduction

Welcome to Vyre ("we", "our", "us"). Vyre is a premium NFC digital business card platform that enables professionals and businesses to create digital portfolio pages and physical NFC cards for networking purposes.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Vyre website, mobile experience, digital profile pages, card ordering services, and any related services (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using our Services — including by tapping or scanning a Vyre NFC card — you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use our Services.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda. Vyre is operated by an individual based in Uganda and is subject to Ugandan law.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account or place an order on Vyre. By using our Services, you represent and warrant that:

  • You are at least 16 years of age.
  • You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement under Ugandan law.
  • All information you provide is accurate, current, and complete.
  • You will maintain the accuracy of such information and promptly update it as necessary.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features, you must register for an account. When you register, you agree to:

  • Provide a valid email address and a secure password.
  • Keep your login credentials confidential and not share them with third parties.
  • Notify us immediately at bahatlimitho@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
  • Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account, whether or not authorised by you.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraud, or are inactive for extended periods, with reasonable notice where practicable.

4. Description of Services

4.1 Digital Profile Pages

Every Vyre account includes a public digital portfolio page accessible at a unique URL (e.g., vyre.ug/u/your-slug). This page displays your professional information, social links, products or services catalogue, testimonials, and contact options. Portfolio pages are publicly accessible by default. You control what information is displayed and may unpublish your page at any time from your dashboard.

4.2 NFC Business Cards & Physical Products

You may order physical NFC-encoded products (PVC cards, metal cards, wristbands, stickers, and bundles) through the platform. These products are manufactured and fulfilled by Vyre. Orders are only processed after payment is confirmed. Delivery timelines and product specifications are as described at the time of ordering.

4.3 Subscription Plans

Vyre offers the following plans:

Plan prices may be offered at discounted rates for 3-month, 6-month, or 12-month commitments. Lifetime plans may be made available at our discretion.

4.4 AI-Assisted Features

The platform offers AI-powered features (bio generation, tagline suggestions) powered by Google Gemini. AI-generated content is provided as a starting point only. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving any AI-generated content published on your profile. We make no warranty as to the accuracy or suitability of AI-generated content.

5. Payments & Subscriptions

5.1 Payment Method

Vyre currently accepts payments via Airtel Money (Uganda). Payments are made manually to the business account:

After sending payment, you must submit your sender name and phone number through the in-app upgrade request form. Your subscription will be activated within 24–48 hours after we verify receipt of your payment. This is a manual verification process and we do not guarantee instant activation.

5.2 Billing Cycle & Renewal

Subscriptions are activated for the duration you select (monthly, quarterly, bi-annually, annually, or lifetime). Subscriptions do not auto-renew. You will receive an in-app notification before your plan expires. To continue, you must manually submit a new upgrade request and complete payment.

5.3 Refund Policy

Due to the manual nature of payment verification and the digital nature of the Services, all subscription payments are non-refundable once your plan has been activated. If you believe a payment was made in error or your plan was not activated correctly, contact us at bahatlimitho@gmail.com within 7 days and we will investigate. Physical NFC card orders may only be refunded or replaced if the product arrives damaged or defective — see Section 7 below.

5.4 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account Settings page. Upon cancellation, your plan will remain active until the end of the current paid period, after which your account will revert to the Free plan. No partial refunds are issued for unused time.

5.5 Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. Any price changes will be communicated at least 14 days in advance via in-app notification and/or email. Price changes do not apply retroactively to active paid subscriptions within their current term.

6. NFC Card Orders

6.1 Order Processing

Physical card orders are processed after payment is confirmed. You are responsible for providing accurate shipping information. We are not liable for orders delivered to incorrectly provided addresses.

6.2 Delivery

Delivery is available within Uganda. Estimated timelines are provided at checkout and vary by product type and location. We are not responsible for delays caused by third- party couriers or circumstances beyond our control.

6.3 Defective Products

If your NFC card arrives physically damaged, malfunctions due to a manufacturing defect, or was printed incorrectly due to our error, contact us within 14 days of delivery at bahatlimitho@gmail.com with photos of the defect. We will arrange a replacement at no additional cost. We do not accept returns for change of mind or for errors in the design information you submitted.

6.4 Design Responsibility

You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of all content in your card design. By submitting a design for printing, you confirm that you have the right to use all text, logos, and images included.

7. User Content & Profile Information

7.1 Your Content

You retain all ownership rights to the content you upload or input on Vyre, including your profile information, photos, logos, product listings, testimonials, and links ("User Content"). By publishing User Content, you grant Vyre a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display your User Content solely for the purpose of operating and providing the Services (e.g., rendering your public portfolio page, generating QR codes, vCards, and OG images).

7.2 Content Responsibility

You are solely responsible for your User Content. You represent and warrant that:

  • You own or have the necessary rights to all User Content you publish.
  • Your User Content does not infringe the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any third party.
  • Your User Content does not violate any applicable Ugandan law or regulation.

7.3 Profile Visibility

Published profile pages are publicly accessible to anyone with the URL (including search engines and anyone who taps your NFC card). You may unpublish your profile at any time. Unpublishing does not delete your data from our servers.

7.4 Content Removal

We reserve the right to remove any User Content that, in our sole judgement, violates these Terms or applicable law, without prior notice. We will attempt to notify you of removal unless doing so is impractical or prohibited.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Services to:

  • Publish false, misleading, defamatory, or fraudulent profile information.
  • Impersonate any person, business, or organisation without authorisation.
  • Upload content that is obscene, harassing, hateful, or otherwise illegal under Ugandan law, including the Computer Misuse Act (2011) and the Uganda Communications Act (2013).
  • Use the platform to send spam, unsolicited messages, or conduct phishing attacks.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform, its servers, or other users' accounts.
  • Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the platform without our written consent.
  • Circumvent or disable any security or technical measure of the platform.
  • Use the Services to conduct or facilitate any illegal business activity.

Violation of this section may result in immediate account suspension and referral to relevant authorities.

9. Intellectual Property

All rights in the Vyre platform, including its design, code, branding, graphics, templates, and the "Vyre" name and logo, are owned by or licensed to Vyre. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our intellectual property other than to use the Services as intended.

The portfolio templates provided on the platform are licensed for use within Vyre only. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute template designs outside the platform.

10. Analytics & Data Collection

When visitors view your profile page or interact with tiles (tapping social links, products, or contact buttons), we collect anonymised analytics data including approximate device type, referrer, country, and interaction events. This data is made available to you in your dashboard (Pro and Business plans) to help you understand your audience.

By using Vyre, visitors to your profile page consent to the collection of this anonymised analytics data. You are responsible for ensuring your profile page visitors are appropriately informed where required by applicable data protection law.

11. Third-Party Services

The platform integrates with third-party services including Google Gemini (AI), WhatsApp (for contact CTAs), and Airtel Money (payments). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.

External links on your profile page (social media, website URLs, payment links) direct users to third-party websites. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content or privacy practices of those websites.

12. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

12.1 "As Is" Service

The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by Ugandan law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

12.2 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Vyre shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunity, arising out of or related to your use of the Services. Our total liability in any 12-month period shall not exceed the total amount you paid to Vyre during that period.

12.3 Uptime

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We are not liable for any loss caused by platform downtime, outages, or scheduled maintenance.

13. Termination

Either party may terminate these Terms at any time. You may delete your account from Settings. We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without notice, if you materially breach these Terms or engage in conduct we determine is harmful to the platform or other users.

Upon termination: your profile page will be unpublished, your data will be retained for up to 90 days before permanent deletion (unless you request earlier deletion), and active paid plans will not be refunded for the remaining term.

Sections 7.2, 9, 12, 13, and 14 survive termination.

14. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Uganda. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall first be subject to good-faith negotiation between the parties. If not resolved within 30 days, the dispute shall be referred to the courts of competent jurisdiction in Uganda.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Effective date" at the top of this page and notify registered users via in-app notification. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must discontinue using the Services.
